After practicing the concept of "look, [noun]" with the lesson for a week, my son switched from requesting impossible things over and over to actually noticing the environment and pointing and naming things. It sure makes our car rides much more pleasant.

I began working with the STAR Program when it first started as a pilot program, and I have continued using it to this day. I have seen great successes with my students, and those successes have been confirmed by parents. Structure and organization are the keys to success.

When I found myself supporting a classroom without a teacher, I quickly learned how valuable STAR and the resources from the Media Center were. We were able to put things in place very quickly because we had instant access to resources for functional routines, instruction, and classroom management.

What I really like about STAR is that it's a roadmap of where we're at and where we need to go for our student. I also like how we can individualize the program to meet our student's needs.

We are elementary self-contained classroom teachers for students with autism, and this is the best program we have ever worked with. I have been in special education for 24 years, and this is by far the most user-friendly, leveled, and fun curriculum for students and staff.

I love the fact that STAR does not just focus on academics. We're looking at the whole child: their language, play, social skills, and ability to complete functional routines.

I have seen amazing growth in functional routines, with students being able to navigate the classroom independently and understand where they are supposed to be and what is supposed to be happening. They're growing more independent in the classroom, and their daily living skills are increasing as well.

Working with STAR coaches allowed me to grow far prouder of my ability to support my students and see their growth over the school year and beyond. Our implementation of STAR, with coaching and dedicated training, has led our building to become a model in our district.

STAR gives us a way to provide specific, data-driven instruction across our classrooms and analyze progress in a variety of domains. We can use that data for IEP progress reports and writing new goals.

Using the components of the STAR Program, I have seen great growth in my student being more confident, more independent, and learning how to follow directions.

STAR has empowered our staff to fully implement ABA techniques in the classroom with confidence and consistency. As a result, we have seen our students make significant strides in their learning and behavior. The structure and clarity of the program have truly transformed our classrooms for the better.

Through my experience using STAR with Pre-K through 5th grade students, I have witnessed significant growth and meaningful progress toward transitioning students into less restrictive learning environments.
