Session 1: ASD Evaluation Refresher: Supporting Strong School-Based Evaluations

This virtual refresher is designed for ASD Consultants who support autism evaluations in school settings. Participants will revisit key requirements and considerations for ASD eligibility, including evaluation components, use of the Technical Assistance Paper (TAP), selection and interpretation of evaluation tools, and educational impact. The training will also explore the consultant’s role in supporting multidisciplinary teams, navigating common evaluation challenges, and strengthening evaluation practices through neuro-affirming language and attention to cultural and contextual considerations.
