Thriving in a Social World: Making Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Attainable and Meaningful for Students with Autism

To thrive in a social world, students must learn social skills and emotional regulation strategies, such as interpreting emotions, motivating themselves, and developing positive attitudes toward school and community. Join this session for an opportunity to learn and practice evidence-based instructional methods used to teach SEL skills in the classroom.

Advocacy and Allyship: Creating Positive Learning Environments for Students with Autism

How can educators be effective advocates for the students they serve? How can we strive for meaningful inclusion in schools? Participants will learn practices for building positive and inclusive learning environments for students with developmental disabilities. Resources and strategies for effective and equitable collaboration with caregivers will be shared.
